The wind has blown away. Yea. It blew at 30+ mph and had gusts of 70+ But no rain with it. The Yaris was hard to hold to the road as I drove to Newton last night. Luckily the wind was over when class was over.
I had to drop a student from class last night for absences and lack of assignments. I hated to do it but it was necessary or seems so.
Tonight it is red up the house night, carryout the garbage and wash clothes. Mabe I can get more of People of the Book read.

Friday and I am ready for it to be the end. The first week after a long break feels longer than a regular week and it is when I think of retiring but only when I am not in the classroom. Each day I work with yooung minds I am rejuvenated. Still at times I am apalled at how many of the bright lights out there do not wnat to do any original work but only wish to parrot back the answers they think we want.
Te weather has been decent but very very dry and in an economic area where rural and urban blend a drought is not a good thing. Perhaps thehopes for rain by Monday will be true. At least I hope so

march 15 evening
Ok ,my hands are black from grout as I used bright glass mosaic set in black grout on my toadhouse. It is now outside awaiting the first residence. I will paint it with yogurt later this week to encourage moss and lichen growth and will do the same with the trough we made.
This was actually a fun project easy to do and brought back memories of mud pies. Would like to make more but a bag of portland cement is 92 lbs and that is too much for one person. anyone want to make some planters.]? I am game.
Papers are done and they were a good set Tomorrow night they turn in rough drafts. I wonder how that will go.
Morning will be tough tomorrow as I have actually been sleeping until eight. Imagine that.

Sunday and I still have papers to grade for the college. Just didn't do it yesterday. Lazy to the nth degree I guess. but they will be done and recorded today.
Sun is out and grass is greener. Short ribs are in the oven smelling goood. dogs are sleeping;right now they are a riot. Chica is in heat but not interested and Boda is ready to go but not sure what it is he is to do. Might miss this heat for breeding due to this but am not worried if I do. have toadhouse workshop today . I will write more when it is over.

Well it is another cool day but there is some sun. That helps. My tax stuff is gathered and I will drop it off today and go for the verdict on Friday. Guess having to pay is better than no income. LOL
Mom's raisin bread is baking in the oven. It is more like a coffee cake or Irish soda bread. It is an old recipe that calls for shortening. I used oil so we will see. I have been thinking of it so went to the recipe and set the raisins to soak last night. Comfort food tastes better with the memories.
Called Molly Maids yesterday and think I may be able to afford a monthly cleaning until I retire. They will come Friday for a first time through cleaning. bedrooms are off limits and that cheapens it. also the scotts people will be heare Friday for a first lawn treatment and hopefully weeds will be kept down, Buddy gets mowing duties this summer. It ran 100 a month last year and ifhe mows I can afford the rest.
Am thinking of a vegetable garden but hate weeding. neighbor rick saif he would rototill for me. I am having shop students build me some have baskets for the fence, think I will fill them with vining plants etc.
